2023 March for Heroes

The 2023 March for Heroes marked a significant milestone as the inaugural event held in Perry, Ohio at Lakeshore Reservation. Participants had the option to undertake either a 22-mile or an 11-mile ruck, with the challenge of carrying specified weights, though this was optional. Those weighing 150 pounds or more were encouraged to carry 30 lbs., while those under 150 pounds carried 20 lbs.
A standout achievement of the event was Michael Romans’ record-setting performance, completing the grueling 22-mile course in an impressive 6 hours, 9 minutes, and 25 seconds.
Beyond the physical challenge, the March for Heroes served a noble cause. All proceeds generated from the event were donated to the Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism, emphasizing a commitment to supporting local veterans and their families. This event not only promoted physical endurance but also unity in honoring and supporting those who have served their country.

2025 Hugh Araps Memorial Golf Outing
What an unforgettable day! The 2025 Hugh Araps Memorial Golf Outing was our biggest and most impactful event yet, and it’s all thanks to YOU — our sponsors, donors, golfers, volunteers, and partners who made it possible.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to our main sponsor, The Figgie Foundation. Your generosity and commitment set the stage for this incredible day, and we are so grateful for your support.
To the many sponsors, donors, participants, volunteers, and Madison Country Club — words cannot fully capture our appreciation. Because of your efforts, we had a record-setting turnout with 124 golfers and 15 volunteers coming together in Hugh’s honor. The laughter, camaraderie, and spirit of giving were felt in every corner of the course.
A special congratulations goes out to Team Turner, who took home first place with an impressive score of 56! 🏆
But most importantly, because of everyone’s support, generosity, and love, we are beyond proud to announce that we were able to donate $10,000 to Coach Scott Blank. Scott has dedicated his life to teaching, coaching, and lifting others up — and now it’s our turn to stand beside him in his fight.
This event was about more than golf. It was about carrying on Hugh’s legacy of community and compassion, and showing Scott that he is not alone. Together, we made something truly special happen.
